Soul Connection

Soul Connection came along the summer of 2020 when my best friend was getting married and she asked me to come up with a signature drink for the reception

Coming up with a drink that will be liked by a majority of people is a task. Not everybody likes certain liquors or flavors. It cannot be too strong or else half of your guests might not want a second one. On the flip side, it cannot be too weak either because, what would be the point!

A signature drink for a wedding should also be fairly simple to make so guests are not waiting a long time at the bar when they could be dancing!

Ok, onto the cocktail...

Ingredients are:

1oz Cherry Vodka (I like Smirnoff)

1oz Amaretto Liquor (any brand will do)

Sprite

Fill the glass of choice with ice

Pour equal amounts of Cherry Vodka and Amaretto to fill half the glass

Top off the glass with sprite to just below the rim

Stir to mix everything together

Garnish with 2 premium cocktail cherries on a fancy skewer

No shaking a cocktail shaker, cutting fruit, or cracking open an egg for this one (I told you it was easy!)

I feel that every cocktail deserves a garnish of some kind, so the garnish for this cocktail is 2 premium cocktail cherries on a fancy skewer. The deep color of a really good cherry pairs well with the caramel color of the cocktail

This is my favorite brand of premium cocktail cherries

Now, to make this cocktail even easier for larger crowds (mainly for the guests to put together themselves) the liquors can be poured into a pitcher and set next to the sprite

I highly recommend a nice sign next to this "do-it-yourself" cocktail so guests cannot mess it up!

Fill glass with ice then half the glass with pitcher contents and sprite in the other half, garnish with 2 cherries for the perfect Soul Connection
