Parties, Food, Drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic), and Everything Else to Help Kick Off Your Next Party or Gathering
First, a little about me and why I decided to start a Blog
Hello! My name is Ronda Meyer (my friends call me Roda for short.) Something about taking a syllable away that helps us Michiganders talk faster!
I'm not bougie, I live paycheck to paycheck, and my house is on the smaller side but I LOVE entertaining! You will see my house for smaller parties and my parents house for larger ones.
My kind of of entertaining is meant for all guests to have a good time and not feel like they are underdressed or can't be a little silly

Me in May 2023
When I was a kid growing up, my parents would host euchre parties at our house once a month. Sometimes these would fall on or near the holidays so, of course, it would be a themed party. Everybody would bring a dish to pass and some drinks. My mother would always have a "signature" cocktail for everyone to try while playing.
Along with a large family and all the gatherings with food and drink that came along with that, my love for social gatherings started.
While I have always loved a good party, my love for making cocktails started in 2019 when my mother bought "Hunt a Killer" for my husband and I. One of the boxes came with a cocktail recipe book and suggestions for music. Of course I went to the liquor store and bought EVERYTHING to make all the drinks! Turned out, I was pretty good at being the bartender.

For my friends wedding, she asked me to come up with a signature cocktail for the reception. I came through and called it "Soul Connection." I will give you all the details on that in another post!
Along with making drinks, I love entertaining and throwing parties. Every year I have a "Screw Winter" party. Winters are long in northern Michigan and when February rolls around, I am sick of the snow and throw a summer themed party (last year it was Cuban themed.)
Another annual party I throw is a gingerbread decorating contest party.

Not having kids, I like to throw "kids" parties for adults!
Pumpkin carving, gingerbread, and super soft birthday parties, are just really fun for me
So I hope with this blog, you can get to know me a little better and get some great ideas, tips, and recipes for your next party!
